MIRACLE
I just watched the trailer for "Miracle," the new movie about the 1980 USA hockey team. My favorite part was the very very end when a bunch of letters are floating around on the screen. Two overlapping lines of letters are scrolling left to right at different speeds, and one by one, bright letters appear in the middle, falling back to spell the word "MIRACLE." The end. The thing is, though, the letters that fall back one by one are, in order: A, M, E, R, I, C, A. Then they reorder themselves (and one A becomes an L) to spell MIRACLE. You think the letters scrolling in the background spell MIRACLE too, but it's acutally more or less randomly ordered As, Ms, Es, Rs, Is, and Cs. All of which enhances the melding of the word "America" with the word "Miracle." Witty wordplay and (albeit imperfect) anagrams. Too cool.
