No more Highlighters for me!
I just sold back two of my textbooks for this semester. When I handed the nice man my Copyright book, he flipped through it, looked up at me with a dirty look, and said, "Did you go to class?" I truthfully responded, "Yes." I never missed a single class. "Did you do the work?" "Yes." Of course I did. I just realized this semester that highlighting and marking up my textbook would just slow me down during my study time. When have I ever gone back to the book itself for information? Even if I did, is highlighting helpful? Here I am at exam time, and I am staying strictly to my notes. I take reading notes on my computer, rather than paint pages yellow or pink.
It turns out my new habits pay off. I got $44 for the Copyright book, and if it had had any marks in it, I would have only gotten about $30. Suckers!
