Family First Firm

When I signed up with this firm last fall, I kind of had an idea that they were a family-friendly place. When I came to the office for a callback in October, the partner who interviewed me in Cambridge had to grab me and talk to me really quick before running out to her kindergartener's school performance. That made an impression on me.

Apparently, I wasn't the only one impressed. The class of summer associates are not your representative demographic of law students. Of the twenty of us, three of us are married (one is me, one has two kids, and the other got married at the end of our second week here before the Marines shipped her husband off to Iraq (and I think I've got it bad)), and at least three or four more are engaged, and most of the rest have serious, long-term relationships. There are only (I think) about four or so who are single and uninvolved. I guess this firm attracts this kind of person or something. Anyhoo, just a thought...
