Britney (Yawn....)
I just saw a news item telling me that Britney Spears has announced that she's taking a break from her "career." My first thought was: hasn't she been doing that for years? I mean, she has long since lapsed into the category of celebrities I despise the most: People Who Are Famous For Being Famous. When was the last time she put out an album or made a movie or got on the cover of a respectable magazine, or whatever it is that she considers to be part of her "career"? Maybe she has done something like that recently--I just don't know about it. But admit it: You don't know about it either.
