Month of Family

Shelly and I are in the middle of 25 consecutive days of visiting family. Yesterday and today, however, are a little different, in that we aren't actually going to see the visiting family. My parents are currently in town, but they're staying at a hotel downtown, and we were busy last night and they are busy tonight. So I guess it doesn't really count toward the 25 consecutive days.

All in all, it hasn't been as bad as I had originally expected. In fact, it's been quite fun, and I'll be sad when my parents leave next week. I had this feeling that I wouldn't be able to get my own stuff done or live my life the way I would without visiting family, or spend any alone time with Shelly. But it has worked out so that I have been able to get things done at school, spend time with Shelly, travel all over the place with family (my car has crossed 14 state lines in the last 2 weeks), and really enjoy myself.

This weekend is the last shebang, as we'll check out the Head of the Charles crew regatta, go up to Salem at the witchiest time of the year (this will probably be my last Salem trip (sniff)), and who knows what else. Next week, when I don't have school, I'll get to travel around with my mom to look for dead ancestors. What fun! I like this stuff.
