Election Night
So there isn't a whole lot to say about my experiences last night. I figure they were pretty much the same as everyone else's. Before the polls closed, Shelly and I took a map of the US and colored in all the states, red and blue. It was like an NCAA Bracket. And I must say we did pretty well. We daringly put Hawaii in the Bush column, and we also messed up on Wisconsin. I guess we have yet to officially see if we got it right in Iowa and New Mexico (we picked Bush and Kerry, respectively). But we know what we're doing!
Adding to all the drama, from a law school perspective, is the news that Justice Rehnquist has cancer and is not able to come to work. The unofficial reports I'm hearing are that he's not coming back, ever. Perhaps we'll do Supreme Court Pick-em at a later time. That's a much more difficult proposition, because the field is so wide open. Heck, rumor had it that if Kerry won, our very own HLS Dean, Elena Kagan, would get the nod. I'll let Bush know that I'm not available for the position. Not yet, anyway.
Gotta run and watch Kerry's concession speech.
