Episode III Teaser Trailer
So starwars.com has the new teaser trailer for Episode III. Seems a little early to me, but I guess they want to start the hype for the May release. The trailer is somewhat of a copout, using too many clips from Episode IV, with Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan Kenobi explaining the origins of Darth Vader. But I must admit that I'm somewhat excited to see those origins. I mean, even with the slight letdown of the last two movies, who isn't excited to see Anakin put on that black helmet for the first time?
The trailer gives credence to the speculation that Anakin has to get the robotic Vader suit because of injuries from a fall into some lava during a light saber duel with Obi-Wan. Speaking of which, it looks like Yoda breaks out his light saber again (I hope he's fighting Anakin/Vader!), but since that's been done before, the exciting thing this time is that it appears Darth Sidious/The Emperor does too. (Has he learned how to shoot lightning bolts out of his fingers yet? Because if he has, that seems a much more effective weapon than a light saber, given its longer range and debilitating effect.) Even more exciting: an army of Wookiees! For me, though, the most pressing question is: How does Padme die? I'm going to miss her.
