Another Reason to Blog

I just read a post from blogger Adam Wolfson that explains quite precisely one of my favorite things about running this blog. He writes, explaining one of the reasons he's blogging again after a long hiatus:

When I was consistently keeping Cicero’s Ghost [old blog] up to
date, I found that my ideas ranged across a myriad of topics, and everything I saw on the street sparked an internal monologue that went something along the lines of “Hmm, is that something that would make for good conversation?” While I still perceive everyday happenings in a similar vein, I’ve noticed lately that my “edge” is gone. I don’t walk around constantly looking for things to discuss or analyze. That could probably be attributed to laziness or – what’s the word? – “normalcy,” but I enjoyed the constant search for something interesting to think about and a blog helped to get my intellectual juices going.

I feel exactly the same way.
