An Argument Against Internet in Class
There's a certain girl in one of my classes who sits two rows in front of me, at such an angle that I can easily see her laptop screen. Like most HLS students with wireless access, she pays as much attention to the Internet as she does to class. Every day she shops for clothes.
Usually, she's looking at fancy dresses. Sometimes it's shoes. I don't know what this girl's social life is like, but I do know that it's glitzier than mine. Or at least she wishes it were glitzy.
But the other day, she went just a little too far and started browsing for bikinis. Shameless, she just pulled up the extra-large pictures on her screen and flipped sequentially through the online selection. I suppose if this girl weren't attractive, it would have been an even more unpleasant experience to consider the consequences of her online shopping. But still. Bikini babes during Federal Courts are a little out of place and distracting, even if the weather is getting warmer.
