"Help me, Obi-Wan. You're my only hope."

The following email was just sent to all HLS students:

On Tuesday March 8th (tomorrow) between 8am and 5pm work will be performed on the audiovisual system in the Harkness Commons. During that time you may hear audio and see video in various locations throughout the Hark. We appreciate your patience while we test the Harkness Commons audiovisual system.
Is it just me, or does this sound like some futuristic sci-fi world, where audio and video just pop up out of nowhere? There are a couple of TVs in the Hark (the student common building, made up mostly of a lounge and a cafeteria), and I think one big-screen type projector. But we're used to "seeing video" in those places--no need to announce it. Are we now going to be seeing video in places other than on the TV screens? Is HLS installing hologram projectors or something? If so, why did they wait to do this till 2 months before I'm outta here?
