Spring Break
Don't hate me if I don't post much in the next week. Harvard's Spring Break is here, and Shelly and I are taking the opportunity to head south out of the cold (yes, it snowed again yesterday, though not much) and visit DC.
Our goal: Find a house.
I've been told that there are three things, any two of which make you a true adult: A child, a real job, and a mortgage. I have the real job lined up, and we're about to get a mortgage. And who knows when a kid will show up, giving me a full tirumvirate of adulthood. Sigh.
This is a very daunting and nerve-wracking process. I'm excited to become an adult and settle down in a place I love, but is it OK for me to be a little scared by all the responsibility?

Comments:
Of the three things you mentioned, the house is the one thing not to be scared of-- it is a thing and if it doesn't work out, you move. It can be temporary and if you make a mistake, it's not fatal. Kids and marriage.... much more there to fear. Much more there to rejoice in as well...
