Real Life, Part II
After writing yesterday's post, I went to bed with the thought that, despite all that stuff I said (which I meant), the actual first day of work shouldn't be that difficult in and of itself. It's momentous simply because of what it stands for, not because of what I'd have to do.
And that sums it up for today. It wasn't a grueling or difficult or in any way "big" day. In fact, I'd bet it'll turn out to be one of the easiest days of my tenure at this firm. All we did was orientation.
Here's what we expect. Here's what we're giving you in exchange for it. Be careful with your general Westlaw searches. Here's where we keep the paper copies of the Yale Law Journal. You can get $5.50 movie tickets from HR.
And of course, a big fabulous lunch, just like last summer.
Tommorrow, it's more of the same (except without the lunch). And then on Thursday, the work starts. I suppose THAT will be a big day.
