How Fortunate!
I had Chinese food for lunch today, complete with a fortune cookie. I used to really like fortune cookies, but either I've gotten wiser or they've gotten stupider over the years. It's rare that a fortune cookie will present you with an actual fortune these days. Usually they'll give you advice or make a pithy observation on life. You're far more likely to get "Don't concentrate on making money if you want true happiness" than you are "You will come into a large sum of money (and happiness)."
Well, today, I finally got a fortune. And it's a good one too! "From now on your kindness will lead to you success." It's about time, I say. I've been being kind for years now, and what has it gotten me? Nothing! But from the moment I opened that fortune cookie onward, kindness = success! Woohoo!
