Home Sweet Office
It's been a rough week at work. We had a major filing due on Tuesday, and due to my experience with similar situations, I took precautionary measures. With my commute home a full half-hour by late-night cab, or an hour by Metro in the morning, I figured this late night might go better if I just brought an air mattress to work and slept on my office floor. That would give me an hour and a half of sleep I wouldn't otherwise have.
And wouldn't you know it, it worked. I got very little sleep that night, but I got an hour and a half more than I would have had I gone home, and it's not like I would have seen Shelly and Ellie anyway--I'd have had to leave early. Plus, it was fun in a sick and twisted way to "camp out" in my office. Running around the office in your PJs and bare feet has a certain thrill.
