Shaq Stats 

The following thought has crossed my mind many times in the past, rarely lingering for long. but today I took the 5 minutes it takes to check the Internet for proof, and here's what I found.

Shaquille O'Neal almost always either wins or gets swept in the playoffs. There's very little middle ground for him.

I looked it up. Shaq has played in 42 playoff series; he has won 32 of them (not a bad winning percentage of 76%). He's been swept in 6 and has lost 4 in a non-sweep situation. That means if Shaq wins a single playoff game, he has over a 90% chance of winning the whole series. Weird.

These are the things the Sports Section of my brain thinks about in this, the long dark winter of the sports world known as summertime.
