Not For Long
So Ellie has come up with a new nickname for her sister Annie: "Little." She calls her "Little" all the time. Sometimes "Little Little." (She actually says it more like "Iddo iddo.") It's kind of funny, especially because Ellie is simultaneously so adamant that we not use the word "little" in reference to her. "I'm a big girl," she says.
But the most ironic thing about it is that Ellie shouldn't get used to calling Annie that. Annie is an enormous baby - she's a couple of inches above what would be the 99th percentile for height. It's a sure thing that she'll be taller than Ellie, and it may not take very long for it to happen. If Ellie gets used to calling her "Little," she may be in for a surprise down the road.
