Baby Steps
It happened last night. Annie took her first unassisted steps.
We were getting ready for the bath, and I had Annie in the bathroom and was taking off her shirt. She was standing up and relying on my grip on her shirt to keep her balance. As the shirt came over her head, she took two wobbly but fast steps toward the tub so she could grab onto the side.
It wasn't pretty, and she certainly isn't likely to do it again anytime soon (she has a mental block - she doesn't think she can stand up and balance by herself without holding onto something, even though she can), but she did it and the whole family was there to witness it.
Does this mean she's not a baby anymore?
